What personal information does the application collect, and who can see it? #
The application collects information reasonably needed to assess and administer the NPC registration. This includes eligibility declarations, Soul Center and contact details, addresses, proposed-company details, director information, certified identity or passport documents, authority documents, proof of CIPC payment, acknowledgements, correspondence, status information and limited security records.
Who is responsible for the portal information? #
The current Privacy Notice identifies Ashley Rodney Deutschmann, a sole proprietor trading as Start My Company, as the responsible party for information processed through the portal and for administering the requested service.
A responsible party is the person or organisation that determines why and how personal information is processed under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What does Christian Leaders Alliance South Africa see? #
Its restricted eligibility verifier receives only:
- Soul Center name;
- contact person’s name; and
- matching Christian Leaders Alliance email.
It does not receive the application documents, director identity information, addresses, payment data or remaining application content through that verifier.
Who else may receive information? #
Where necessary for the service, authorised Start My Company administrators and relevant operators may process it. Information is provided to CIPC for the registration and may pass to SARS through the statutory CIPC/SARS process. It may also be provided where lawfully required by another authority or court.
Administration may occur from Bulgaria, in the European Union, as explained in the Privacy Notice. Service providers may also process information outside South Africa subject to the stated safeguards and POPIA requirements.
What should you do? #
Read the current Privacy Notice before submitting. Use the protected portal for sensitive documents. Use Start My Company Support for privacy questions without attaching sensitive records unless a secure route is provided.
